Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (鈥淭itle IX鈥), 20 U.S.C. 搂1681 et seq., is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities. All public and private elementary and secondary schools, school districts, colleges, and universities (hereinafter 鈥渟chools鈥) receiving any Federal funds must comply with Title IX. Under Title IX, discrimination on the basis of sex can include sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual violence, domestic/dating violence, and stalking.

In accordance with Title IX regulations, the University has designated Ricquelle Lassonnier as the University鈥檚 Title IX Coordinator. Robert Mann has been appointed as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator. They are charged with monitoring compliance with these regulations. Questions regarding the University鈥檚 Title IX policy, as well as concerns and complaints of non-compliance, may be directed to them.

If you are a student or employee who believes you have been subjected to sex discrimination under the University鈥檚 Title IX policy, you may report such misconduct or file a formal complaint with the Title IX Coordinator.
